Foam products can be found in a multitude of constructions to help relieve pressure and increase the comfort and support of a mattress.

SLAB CUTS

Slab cutting is simply cutting straight edge pieces with no contours or peaks and valleys. The entire piece of foam is utilized and kept intact, allowing for a full body contact and full pressure relief.

DUAL FUSION

Dual Layer Fuse-a-Foam offers the combined benefits of two different foams available, allowing customization for optimum comfort and support. Dual Fusion foam is often referred to as “reversible foam.”

CONVOLUTE CUTS

Convolute cutting is the process of using a slab of foam and running it through two cutting rollers with varying peak designs to achieve two new pieces of pad. The new pieces have peaks and valleys cut into them. This type of foam is commonly referred to as an “egg crate.”

GEO-TECH CUTS

Geo-Tech cutting is the proprietary patented process of taking a traditional piece of slab foam and running it through a cutting system to create individual cells or “cushions.” The entire piece of foam is utilized and kept in tact. This method of cutting offers the consumers more foam with more support than traditional “egg crate” convolutes. By creating these individual cushions, a structured mobility is engineered to provide support to each applied pressure point.

VENTILATED CUTS

Ventilating foam is the process of taking a piece of foam and running it through “hole punching” equipment that cuts out uniform holes from the top of the foam pad to the bottom, covering the entire surface. This cutting allows for better air circulation.

CONTOUR CUTS

Contour cuts generally refer to pillows that have a cut that mimics the contour or your head and neck. The contour allows the head to rest in a valley while the front roll supports the neck.
